Orthonevra intermedia Lundbeck, 1916
BiologyThis is regarded as a species of peat bogs, similar to O. geniculata where it is found in association with water margins such as lake edges and slow moving streams. The larva is unknown. Like related species, adults visit a range of flowers.
DistributionAdded to the British List by Drake (2006) from Delamere Forest, Cheshire: Three males and a female swept on 02/07/2003 from recently cleared secondary birch woodland at Norley Moss, next to the lake at Hatchet Mere. Another two males on 06/07/2003 at Barnsbridge Basin - a small but intact bog.
