NomenclatureCnemodon verrucula Collin in Coe (1953), Neocnemodon verrucula (Collin) in Stubbs & Falk (1983).
BiologyThe larva is undescribed. Associated with a range of deciduous and mixed woodland. Adults fly low and rapidly amongst low vegetation along woodland rides and clearings. An early flying species which can be found visiting spring flowering shrubs such as sallows Salix sp.
DistributionVery few, widely scattered records north to the Scottish Highlands.
