BiologyThis is a woodland species that occurs on Chalk and limestone. The larval host plant is unknown and there are no obvious pointers to viable possibilities. Males are often noted sunning themselves on sun-lit leaves.
DistributionThis is a southern English species that is most commonly encountered in Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Dorset, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
StatusLower Risk (Nationally scarce) - Ball & Morris, 2010. Rare (RDB3) - Falk, 1991 and Shirt, 1987.
